Forty years after the murder of Martin Luther King, the presidential candidacy of Barack Obama has once again led America to search its soul, says Anne Applebaum.
Is Barack Obama a traitor to white America because the preacher in his church - the man who converted him, married him, baptised his children - occasionally reminds his flock that "white folk's greed runs a world in need"?
Or is Obama a traitor to black America because he went to "white" universities and wears nice suits?

WASHINGTON - Sen. Barack Obama, second to none in the race for campaign cash, raised more than $40 million in March and boosted his vast network of donors to nearly 1.3 million, the campaign announced Thursday.

The amount is less than the record $55 million he raised in February, but still a sizable amount that sustains his place as the fundraising leader among all presidential candidates.

JOHNSTOWN, Pennsylvania (Reuters) Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama on Saturday said Hillary Clinton can stay in the nominating race as long as she wants and expressed confidence that Democrats will coalesce around the winner despite the often bitter contest.
"My attitude is that Senator Clinton can run as long as she wants. Her name is on the ballot and she is a fierce and formidable competitor," said Obama, adding that the notion that Democrats have been split by the prolonged nominating contest "is somewhat overstated."

This website is so thorough and has a wealth of information on EVERYTHING you need to know about the candidate, Barack Obama. Increasingly, I have heard from non-supporters or undecided voters is that they do not know what and where Obama stands on certain issues. His official site has a complete list of all the issues concerned and his plans are itemized, comprehensive, and efficient and are easily found.
